388 Enter Into His Gates With Thanksgiving, A Guided Christian Meditation on Psalms 100 with the Recenter With Christ app

I'm Chaplain Jared and I work as a hospice chaplain and an ICU chaplain, my purpose in making this podcast is to help you find more peace in your life and to be more open for your heart to be changed by the Spirit of God. By using centuries old form of Christian Meditation named Lectio Divina:

Outline: Relaxation, Reading, Meditation, Prayer, Contemplation and Visualization.

Get into a place where you can sit comfortably and uninterrupted for about 20 minutes.You should hopefully not be driving or anything tensing or unrelaxing. If you feel comfortable to do so, I invite you to close your eyes.

Guided Relaxation / Guided Meditation:

Breathe and direct your thoughts to connecting with God. Let your stomach be a balloon inflate, deflate.

Bible verses for Meditation:

Psalms 100
KJV
1 Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands.
2 Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing.
3 Know ye that the Lord he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
4 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.
5 For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.

ESV
100
1 Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth!
2 Serve the Lord with gladness!
Come into his presence with singing!
3 Know that the Lord, he is God!
It is he who made us, and we are his;
we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving,
and his courts with praise!
Give thanks to him; bless his name!
5 For the Lord is good;
his steadfast love endures forever,
and his faithfulness to all generations

Meditation on Scripture:

In times of struggle it can be difficult to truly give gratitude to God. Yet I am convinced that gratitude is something that brings us closer to God’s spirit. I have felt this experience go both ways. At times I have been overwhelmed with a positive spiritual experience that fills me with gratitude to God for the Love he pours out. At other times I have made an effort to give gratitude to God which has led to a positive spiritual experience with His love.

The fact that we exist fills me with wonder. The unlikely nature of life is astounding as I discussed last episode. On top of that, the God of heaven chose to love us. He made us, we are his. We did not make ourselves. He leads us in a very difficult and narrow path. As we follow this narrow path it leads to His gate.

The fact that we can enter this gate at all is glorious and amazing. God loves you. Give gratitude to God for all the infinite blessings of God.

Meditation of Prayer:

Pray as directed by the Spirit.

Dedicate these moments to the patient waiting, when you feel ready ask God for understanding you desire from Him.

Meditation of God and His Glory / Hesychasm:

I invite you to sit in silence feeling patient for your own faults and trials.

Summarize what insights you have gained during this meditation and meditate and visualize positive change in your life:
