Bible verse for meditation:
Psalms 34:3-9
KJV3 O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together.4 I sought the Lord, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.5 They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed.6 This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.7 The angel of the Lord encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.8 O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.9 O fear the Lord, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him. ESV3 Oh, magnify the Lord with me,and let us exalt his name together!4 I sought the Lord, and he answered meand delivered me from all my fears.5 Those who look to him are radiant,    and their faces shall never be ashamed.6 This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him and saved him out of all his troubles.7 The angel of the Lord encampsaround those who fear him, and delivers them.8 Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good!Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him!9 Oh, fear the Lord, you his saints, for those who fear him have no lack!

Meditation on scripture / bible verse meditation:
The language of this scripture is interesting. The thing that magnifies is the psalmist and us by extension. This theology is interesting. If we consider that God is the source of light and we also consider what a magnifying glass does with regards to light. When I was a kid I was always interested in the the effects that a magnifying glass has when used to focus the light of the sun. I would burn leaves and be surprised how intense the focused beam of sun can be. Although sunlight surrounded me the small lens focused that light to perform an amazing thing. The magnifying glass doesn't make the light nor does it carry the energy of the light. With that said it must be pointed in the right direction. The lens must be directed with conscious effort.
In a way our seeking the Lord can be compared to us seeking sunlight. The light of God fill all things. As we seek the Lord then we are not really discovering the light but learning how to recognize it and focus it. We are like sunflowers that turn their faces toward the sun. We can magnify the power of God’s light to bless our lives and the lives of others.
The unique difference between the sun and God’s light is that God’s light seeks us and represents the will of God. In other words, as it says here, when we seek the Lord, he brings his light to find us. As we learn to turn ourselves and our actions to face His light, we feel His answers to our prayers. He will always supply what we truly need.

Final Question: What is an action you can take in your life to focus the light of God?
Final thought -During our efforts to find and be directed by the light of God, we are blessed. This scripture compares these blessings to a good taste. God certainly can and will bless our efforts to magnify His light. In addition to this is says that the Angel of the Lord will encamp around us to assist in these efforts. May God continue to guide us as we live in his light.
