Bible verses for Meditation:

NIV
Matthew 28:5-7
5 The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified.
6 He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay.
7 Then go quickly and tell his disciples: ‘He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him.’ Now I have told you.

KJV
5 And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified.
6 He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.
7 And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you.

Meditation on scripture / bible verse meditation:

This is one of the most important declaration in all of scripture. “He is not hear, for he has risen.” Of all the holidays that we celebrate, Easter is the most important. Christmas is valuable because we remember the birth of the baby Jesus, but Jesus did not save us as a baby. He grew and taught. He healed and performed miracles. Of all of these things the whole point of his ministry is to help his family return to him by overcoming sin and death. This scripture hints at the echoes caused by the deep valley separating the way God is and the way we are but also shows the first evidence of eternal victory over what assails us. Despite this God uses our human weakness and our failings to His purposes.

I find it interesting that the most important news the world had been given was to two women. Jesus could have appeared to his apostles. He could have appeared to the many other people who would later see him in his resurrected form. He chose Mary a women from whom he had cast out an evil spirit. Unfortunately in that time, women could not even testify in court. Yet God chose these women to be the first to declare the message of the resurrection. The inclusion of this story is not an accident. It was this story that kicked off the telling of the resurrection story. It is the first. This story shows something of the way in which God values each person. Just like Mary, You have a special role that only you can fulfill because God or angles decree it so.

God is aware of you. He has no favorites. Regardless of where you have been or where you are, you are redeemable. God’s power is greater than our weakness. God can and will use you for his mighty purposes. We can participate in his work on earth. If you have felt like an outsider in the church, or anywhere else. May this Easter Day be your formal invitation to join God’s team. We are part of a mighty community of people who attempt, although imperfectly, to love as He does. May God bless our efforts.

Final Question:
How can you more fully join God’s team this Easter.

Final Thought:
Nothing that you are or have done make you unlovable or unuseful to God because is already planning something better for you. Make a firm and irrevocable decision that you will no longer simply hang out at the edge of God’s community but that you will dive head first and play whatever role He has in mind for you. You have the same right as any other human to receive His grace. More than metaphorically he died to give you that chance. Throw off your past hurt or hesitation and join in the fullness of fellowship of God. May this Easter provide you an opportunity to find peace, love, and joy in Christ.
